Manufacturing software
Manufacturing software for small businesses that make what they sell
ERP Nexl's Production module records what goes into each product, plans and tracks every batch you make, and works out what it really cost — materials, wastage, labour and by-products included. Stock updates itself as materials go out and finished goods come in.

Key capabilities
Recipes (bills of materials)
Materials per batch with the wastage you expect, co-products and by-products, standard labour and overheads, shelf life and versions.
Production orders
Plan from a recipe, issue materials in one go or several, return what's left and complete the order with the quantity made.
Batches & expiry dates
Each output can carry a batch number, made-on and expiry date. See what expires soon and trace a batch back to its materials and supplier lots.
Automatic costing
Average cost per item, with each order's materials, extra costs and by-product credit built into the cost of what it made.
Customer jobs
Made-to-order work with the customer, agreed price, advance and delivery date, and the margin on every job.
Labels, job cards & reports
Batch labels with barcodes, shop-floor job cards, cost sheets and eleven production reports, from wastage to margins.
Know what each batch really cost
Small manufacturers — bakeries, food processors, garment and furniture workshops, packaging and chemical units — usually know their selling price better than their cost. Materials are bought at changing prices, part of every batch is lost to trimming or spillage, labour and electricity never make it onto the product, and the leftovers that get sold are forgotten. The margin ends up a guess.
ERP Nexl puts the whole batch in one place. A recipe records what one batch uses and what else comes out of it. A production order takes the materials out of stock at their current cost, adds the labour and overheads, credits the by-products and brings the finished goods into stock at what they actually cost — so the next sale, the stock value and the margin report all use the real figure.
Production works on its own, with items and stock included. Add Sale & Purchase to buy materials and invoice what you make, Accounting to see every production posting in your ledger, and HR & Payroll to name who did the work.

Frequently asked questions
What does manufacturing software do for a small business?
It records what your products are made of, plans and tracks each production run, moves materials and finished goods in and out of stock, and works out what each product cost to make.
Does ERP Nexl have bills of materials?
Yes — they're called recipes. A recipe lists the materials for one batch with the wastage you expect, any co-products and by-products, standard extra costs such as labour, and a shelf life. An item can have several recipes, and a recipe can use another made item as a sub-assembly.
How is the cost of a finished product worked out?
From what the order actually used: materials at their average cost when issued, less what was returned, plus labour and other extra costs, less the value of by-products, divided by the quantity made. The finished goods come into stock at that cost.
Can I track batches and expiry dates?
Yes. Each completed order can record a batch number, made-on date and expiry date for what it made, prints batch labels with a barcode, lists batches that expire soon and traces a batch back to the materials and supplier lots it used. Stock itself is kept per item, not per batch.
Does it do MRP or production scheduling?
Not yet. ERP Nexl shows what each open order still needs against your stock and offers to make a missing sub-assembly first, but it doesn't plan purchases across all your orders, schedule work centres or track work stage by stage.
Do I need other modules to use Production?
No. Production includes items and stock and works on its own. Add Sale & Purchase to buy materials and sell what you make, and Accounting to see production postings in your ledger.
